Prague Friday 26

Today's Morfar Coffe index is 72 Czech money for a medium Kaffe Americano! About $3.50. For those of you that does no know what the Morfar Coffe index is, it is my dad or as we call grandpa in Swedish "Morfar" his way if judging the tourist factor of places he visits... The cheaper the coffee the less of a tourist trap, the pricier the Coffee the bigger tourist trap!

Prague at night

So we had beer, now we just needed some guests! A quick text and our friends Sean and Jennifer and their kids came up four flights of stairs with kids, strollers and a bike!,,

Prague arrival!!

The second plane-ride is always an excersise in delirious sleeping. You get on the plane and nod on and of for the next 2 hours as you try to scruff down some food! The decent offered magnificent views of Prague and the river! The cab drive in to town was like a roller ride with "fun" drivers all around! Wow the buildings were fun, and amazing! We arrived at our Airbnb and our host was there within minutes.. 4 flights of stairs up to a Pied a terre, attic space converted to a hyper cool modern studio apartment fully equipped with even a roof top deck! Giant super market 3 minutes away offered up all the food Czech families eat not to mention the beer selection!!! That was later enjoyed at the said rooftop deck!

The dancing house by some famous French architect.

Woohoo enough beer for a thirsty American

Yep he will drink it all!,

Part 2- Heathrow, London

We had a 3 hour layover at Heathrow, London and we briefly got to step foot on British soil. The approach to London offered spectacular views of Windsor castle and the whole landscape looked liked "Settlers of Catan's" game board! Max comment as we went down for landing: "I can't believe we beat these people at war" he is of course referring to his recent studies of the American Revolutionary War!! We were warned about Heathrow being a crazy busy airport with an penance for losing luggage, no problems for us since we are only traveling with carry on bags!!

Max is a quick study of malt beverages

Charging station for busy modern travelers!

Ben and Jerry ice team for the bargain price of £3 per cup roughly equivalent to $6

Max offers of some relaxing musak !

Heathrow London

So we just landed.. The Morfar coffee index for the day is £1.70 for a small cup of coffee that by the new European naming convention is called Coffee Americano! Not sure why but that is also what it is called in Spain we will see what they call it in Prague! Freaky realization #1: They drive on the wrong side of the street here!!! Ahhhh almost made me nauseous seeing oncoming traffic !

Oh no they are all driving on the wrong side of the road!
